PB EIFS - Standard Systems
Product Description, Applications
PB EIFS
- STANDARD SYSTEM
The PAREX Standard System is a PB EIFS with adhesively attached EPS insulation board, a 1/16"
(1.6 mm) thick, single layer of basecoat and PAREX reinforcing mesh over the entire surface. Additional mesh can be used to
meet high impact requirements.
Finishes
All
PAREX finishes are synthetic - a great improvement over traditional, cementitious stucco. With acrylic finishes, factory mixing
and color formation eliminate the problems and guesswork of onsite mixing, providing consistent color and texture.
Features, Advantages
- Exterior EPS - R-value of 4 ft² x h x °F/Btu/in
(0.7 m² x K/W/25.4 mm); eliminates thermal bridging with the exterior
- EPS shapes - Economical details
- Basecoat - Low cement content; improved
flexibility and durability
- Finishes - Virtually limitless variety of colors and textures; PAREX specializes in custom colors and
color matching
Properties, Performance
- Coating surface
burning characteristics - ASTM E84; flamespread, 0 - 5; smoke developed, 0 - 10
- Large-scale, vertical, fire spread - ASTM E108, modified;
no vertical or horizontal flamespread; prevented core involvement
- Fire resistance - ASTM E119 1, 2 and 3 hour; standard fire
resistive assembly rating maintained
- Transverse wind load resistance - ASTM E330, 150 psf (7 kPa) negative wind load; no system
failure; substrate failure only
- Gardner Impact Test - ASTM D2794; 25 - 200 in-lb (3 - 22 N x m)
- Water penetration
- ASTM E331; pass

Warranty
PB EIFS Standard is backed by a 5 year limited warranty.
Water Master™ EIFS With Drainage
PAREX Water Master™ technology offers all the advantages of PB EIFS: beauty, durability and cost-
effectiveness. It allows incidental moisture that may enter behind the system to be released through Vented Track at the termination
of the system. PAREX Water Master further protects with a moisture barrier installed between the substrate and the insulation
board.
PAREX offers 4 types of Water Master Systems, 2 commercial and 2
residential. Commercial-DB features KeyCoat technology, channeled foam board and vented track. Commercial-VR allows moisture
to escape via vertical ribbon channels created by the EPS adhesive KeyGuard. The residential systems are Water Master with
House Wrap and Water Master with StuccoWrap™.
Features,
Advantages
Water Master Commercial-DB:
- KeyCoat, a liquid applied 100% acrylic EPS adhesive secondary
weather barrier
Water
Master Commercial-VR:
- KeyGuard, a 100% acrylic weather barrier that can be spray or roller applied
Both Commercial Systems:
- Used over Dens-Glass Gold® or
cement based sheathing
- Adhesive attachment
Water Master with House Wrap:
- PAREX House Wrap, a 60 minute Grade D building paper
- Mechanically fastened
- Used over wood and
gypsum sheathing
Water
Master with StuccoWrap™:
- Tyvek® StuccoWrap™
- 20 oz + 4.5 oz (567 gm + 128 gm) mesh
